Young, afraid and thousands of miles from home, Grishton Podwood has landed on the Zubious Islands to finally learn the true power of the winchup band bestowed on each Jagat at birth. A mysterious artefact called the Spectrolite Sphere has driven the island chieftain mad, and Grishton’s father, missing now for many years, was the only one brave enough to steal it from him. But the Sphere has already claimed another victim, Grishton’s father’s best friend, Kai Sareo, and he is now planning a war with the Jagats. Paranoid and craving vengeance, the island chieftain orders Grishton and his teammates to retrieve the Sphere and capture Kai Sareo. But it’s a mission that demands many sacrifices, and Grishton must use every drop of his courage and tenacity to prevent disaster, and find his long-lost father.
